EVENING RECEPTION
The
ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain
The
ECHO is a “green” building on the shores of Lake
Champlain offering spectacular views of the
Adirondack Mountains.
It houses 70 species of fish, amphibians, invertebrates, and reptiles. |
The Monday evening reception will be held at the ECHO at the Leahy
Center for Lake Champlain.

ACTIVITIES
Shelburne Museum
|
Special exhibits for 2008 are Mary Cassatt,
Flower Quilts, Carousel exhibit, Warren Kimble, Handbags,
and
Eco design. The fee for an afternoon at the Museum is $20 per person. This
includes admission to the Museum and bus transportation to and from the Museum.

The
Museum exhibits 150,000 works of folk art, French Impressionist
and
American paintings, decorative arts, design, and
Americana. 45 acres
of beautiful, relaxing gardens and grounds surround the
museum’s
39 exhibition buildings.

Shelburne Farms
The fee for this outing is $30 per person. This includes the tour,
refreshments and bus transportation to and from the Shelburne Farms. |
Shelburne Farms is a
1,400 acre working farm and National Historic
Landmark on the shores of Lake
Champlain. We
are planning a group tour of the Shelburne Farms that will be limited to 25
persons to allow a tour of the farm and the Inn
on the property. The guided tour starts at the
Welcome Center
where the guide talks about the property as a whole. The group will go through
the farm barn, farmyard, cheese-making operation, bakery and woodshop. There will
also be stops or drive-bys of the market garden, coach barn and breeding barn.
The visit will end with a tour of the Inn and refreshments on the Inn porch.

Lake Champlain Cruise
 |
This
1 ˝ hour narrated public cruise by Northern Lights beginning from the
Burlington dock offers magnificent views of the Adirondack Mountains of New
York and the Green Mountains of Vermont. The fee is $20 per person which
includes the cruise and bus transportation to and from the dock. |
