ABA SCHOLARSHIP:

  • describes the scholarship initiative that has been undertaken by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law to attract young minority and women attorneys to attend and participate in the mid-winter meetings of the Section's Committee on State and Local Government Collective Bargaining and Employment Law.

 

ADVOCATES DAY:

  • lists dates, times, topics, and speakers for a one-day conference open to labor relations advocates 

 

ALRACADEMY:

  • describes the opportunity to nominate professionals for ALRAcademy (an annual training program)

 

ALRA ADVISOR:

  • offers access to archive copies of the association's newsletter and provides information on where to send articles for publication of current events and court or board decisions

 

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

  • publishes each spring the annual conference program including dates, times, topics,  and speakers.
  • announces the location and dates of the annual conference including hotel information 

 

CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT FOR LABOR MEDIATORS:

  • current version of the Code of Professional Conduct for Labor Mediators (edited 2002)

 

COMMITTEES:

  • describes the responsibilities of each ALRA committee listed with names and phone numbers of individuals serving on each committee.

 

CONSTITUTION:

  • outlines the various provisions of the ALRA Constitution including an index of all provisions

 

DIRECTORY:

  • provides a listing of all member agencies and their executive staff; agencies should review their listing to make sure it is current - report changes to Tom Worley, ALRA Webmaster at (614) 466-2965 or FAX (614) 466-3074 or E-Mail:  ALRA WEBMASTER.
  • uses a state matrix as an index to link to information about state and municipal agencies (municipal agencies are listed under their respective state); uses a national U.S. button to access a list of federal agencies in the United States; and uses a Canada button to access a list of federal and provincial agencies in Canada.  Please note that where agencies have a combined ALRA membership, only the primary agency is listed - information related to a secondary agency can be found within the text of the primary agency.

 

GRANTS:

  • outlines procedures and criteria to be used in seeking an ALRA training grant.



LABOR LINKS:

  • uses a state matrix as an index to link to websites of state and municipal agencies (municipal agencies are listed under their respective state); uses a federal matrix as an index to link to websites of U.S. federal agencies and a national association; uses a Canadian matrix as an index to link to websites of  federal and provincial agencies in Canada.  80 websites are currently listed.  Please note that not all related agencies have websites at this time.

 

LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONS IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR:

  • links users to Labor Relations Press in order to purchase a copy of the book that was written by several nationally recognized experts in public sector labor relations.  The book, Labor-Management Relations in the Public Sector: Redefining Collective Bargaining, was updated in 1999 and is endorsed by the Association of Labor Relations Agencies (ALRA).  For more details, visit the page on the web site.

 

MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING AND EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETINGS:

  • lists minutes of meetings that currently are available for review; minutes may reflect draft or approved versions of the minutes; and there is a summary of minutes for 1997-2004.

 

OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVE BOARD:

  • outlines elected positions in ALRA and lists individuals serving in the positions including their terms of office
  • provides a description of the duties of each office 

 

TRAINING RESOURCES - SURVEY:

  • contains a survey that agencies are encouraged to download and complete to provide a listing of their current training resources that can be posted upon the ALRA web page for reference by other member agencies.  

 

TRAINING RESOURCES - AGENCY INDEX:

  • provides an agency listing with complete descriptions of comprehensive training resources including manuals, audio and video tapes, and recommended trainers.

 

TRAINING RESOURCES - TOPICAL INDEX:

  • provides a topical listing of titles or names of training resources including manuals, audio and video tapes, and recommended trainers.

 

TRAINING RESOURCES - TRAINERS:

  • provides an agency listing of trainers recommended by member agencies.

 

TRAINING RESOURCES - MATERIALS AND RECORDINGS:

  • provides an agency listing with complete descriptions of training manuals and educational materials developed or recommended by member agencies.
  • provides an agency listing of complete descriptions of  audio and video tapes developed or recommended by member agencies.



TRAINING RESOURCES - WORKSHOP REPORTS AND CONFERENCE REMARKS:

  • provides summaries of past conference workshops and conference remarks.
