Sue Bauman (Wisconsin) Abby Simms (NLRB) *** MEMBERSHIP 2007-2008 The Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining the membership of ALRA, insuring that eligible agencies which are not members are made aware of the association and its activities, and for insuring that candidates for membership meet the requirements for membership set forth in the constitution and by-laws. John Higgins Dan Nielsen *** NOMINATING 2007-2008 The Nominating Committee is responsible for insuring that a sufficient number of candidates are available for positions on the Executive Board; and for preparing ballots and conducting the elections at the annual meeting. *** ORGANIZATIONAL LIAISONS 2007-2008 In order to foster the fraternal relations with organizations of similar purpose, and to keep member agencies advised of developments in related field which may impact on their operations and interests, liaisons have been designated to keep ALRA apprised of developments in other organizations, and to publicize the activities of ALRA to those organizations. It is chaired by the President-Elect. Phil Hanley *** PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 2007-2008 The Professional Development Committee shall work to promote the professional development of members and staff of member agencies through the promotion of workshops; the ALRAcademy; sponsorship of newly appointed agency members or staff at the Annual Conference; and by responding to the needs of member agencies. *** PUBLICATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS 2007-2008 The Publications and Communications Committee is responsible for distributing materials of use to member agencies and for maintaining the archives of the Association. It is chaired by the Vice President-Administration. The committee is also involved in the planning of the Executive Board and committee meetings. Mary Johnson *** TECHNOLOGY 2007-2008 The Technology Committee develops and maintains the ALRA web page, and acquires and disseminates information regarding new uses of technology that enhance the ability of member agencies to provide services to the public.
